She received formal training and certification from Taliah Waajid in professional hair locking techniques in 2007 and later earned her Interlocking Certification from Happy to Be Nappy in 2009. With nearly two decades of hands-on experience, A Total You Loc Studio has become a trusted destination for clients seeking knowledgeable, professional, and consistent loc care.


We specialize in advanced interlocking and loc creation methods using all professional interlocking tools, including the Sisterlock™ tool, crochet needle, latch hook, and other modern locking techniques. Our services and training are designed to support healthy, properly locked hair from the foundation forward.


In addition to professional loc services, A Total You Loc Studio now offers monthly loctician training classes for beginners, aspiring locticians, and beauty professionals looking to specialize in locs. Our training focuses on the essential truth of loc work: before any maintenance or styling can happen, the hair must already be properly locked. For this reason, our beginner course includes both foundational and advanced starter loc techniques.


This two-day, hands-on loctician training teaches starter locs, instant locs, loc extensions, and interlocking using professional tools, along with essential loc care fundamentals. All products, tools, and mannequins are provided, and students may bring one live model on the second day for real-world practice. Upon completion, students receive a Certificate of Completion and professional certification from A Total You Loc Studio, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to begin their journey as a successful loctician.
